Apparently, the former owner had some time on his hands, a lot of artistic ability and a pen knife 'cause he set to carving on this gun. It is an interesting canvas, replete with handsomely rendered images of the female form, a la the 1920s. Line and chip carved, with detail to the hair, figure, lips. One lass in harlequin ensemble, another in sombrero. Some full-figured renderings, some "bust" studies in profile. Interesting piece, probably more for its folk art flair than for the firearm itself!
