The front says: " July 1.2.3 1863 Gettysburg Veteran 1863 1893" on the front. The back says: "Dedication of the State Monuments at Gettysburg July 1,2,3 1893 New York Day". I am guessing it is bronze, it is very heavy and in EXCELLENT condition. It measures about 3 1/2" to top to bottom of the ribbon and 1 7/8" at it's widest point.
